I really need to figure out a blogging schedule because this is just silly. Ah well, let’s catch up, shall we? We begin with the SBQ’s:

Today’s SBQ was suggested by Jennifer and is:

What are your favorite online stitching supply sources?

Well I don’t do a ton of online shopping, although it is my only source for most of my supplies now that my LNS has shut down. I do browse a lot, then when I need something I usually request it from Ann at Knowledge and Needles. Not only is Ann a good friend but she offers free shipping!

I am just starting to really get interested in specialty threads (overdyes and the like), and for that I find Jenna at One Star’s Light has a nice selection. Plus she is a good friend. Notice a pattern? :D

This week’s SBQ was suggested by Ternezia and is:

What for you means to achieve mastery as a stitcher?

Gah, that’s a tough one. I imagine that mastery would be acheived if I could finish a HAED piece or a particularily complicated TW like Peacock Tapestry. In a month. Lol!

Speaking of TW, I have made some wonderful progress on the Egyptian Sampler:

If the rest of this piece goes this smoothly, this is likely a piece that I would stitch again. There are certainly motifs that are fantastic and each part stitches very quickly.

I have also started a poncho for myself. The pattern is here and my progress:

I found something to make with all that blue yarn that I bought that was the wrong colour. ;) I will still make one in beige but since I have this yarn now, why not?

Oh! And guess what I did yesterday? I bought envelopes!  Why is this important? Well, I haven’t mailed off my PIF pieces since I had no envelopes. So hopefully you will see pictures of those soon.

That’s it for today. I am off to do the last of my house cleaning that I have been putting off since we are celebrating Thanksgiving today with Scott’s grandparents as I was working most of last weekend (Thanksgiving was on Monday here in Canada). Which hopefully will mean turkey sandwiches, turkey hash, etc. for the remainder of the week! Yum!
