I am going to have to frog Isis. I know the error isn’t visible to non-stitchers (most notably my sister, Kathleen), but it is visible to me and it will drive me crazy. And it won’t do the piece justice to have the glaring error.
So the irony here is that it is Isis being reborn. [...]

You know, the one to bang my head against?
I have been sitting this morning, spending some quality time with Egyptian Sampler. Here is a progress photo to distract you for a moment.
Pretty, huh? I think so. But I stopped when I noticed a glaring error. Isis is one stitch too high. A close up here [...]

This is how Kimber and I finished our game this evening. I won, barely. Ok, so we aren’t exactly chess giants; in fact neither one of us is very good. But it won’t be long before Kimber really starts kicking my butt.
(The black king was missing from our pieces, a brown queen was substituted, just [...]

This week’s SBQ was suggested by … me… and is:
How do you handle blended threads? Do you kit the blends up before you start a piece, or do you grab what colors you need and blend when the need arises? If you kit up the blends beforehand, how do you store them? Do you have [...]

Well it’s not a fantastic amount of work, but then we spent our weekend visiting friends and family and not much stitching got done.
The border is relaxing and fun to do. I love seeing this peice come together. Hopefully by the end of this week I will have a more significant update. Have a great [...]

It was a bit of a rough night last night as Lauryn was up at O-My-God-Early hacking and coughing. Cough medicine, drinks and lozenges didn’t calm things and she was up for the day. I, however, was not. I ended up dozing on the couch while she hacked beside me watching early morning cartoons.
In my sleep, [...]

I had been sitting at a loss of what project to work on (obviously that “rotation” mumbo jumbo I was talking about in January was exactly that) since Minuit is waiting for her floss.
I picked up Always again, forced myself to sit through a few hours of stitching, remembered why I dislike stitching this piece [...]

Today’s SBQ was suggested by Jennifer and is:
What is the most complicated piece you’ve ever completed?
I think the most complicated is Dragonride. Only because it is the only TW I have completed. Wait for me to finish a few more of these and I will get back to you! Of course, it was a series [...]
