Coming up from the rubble

Whew. Is it over?

I think a cyclone hit our house. Which of course means Christmas was a great sucess. The girls made out like bandits and got spoiled, but it was loads of fun.

Some pics:

The view Christmas morning (Yes, this is as bad as it looks. This is for 7 people. Insane, isn’t it?)

The girls waiting to come downstairs and see the stash. Yep, we are that evil. We make them wait! heee!

Scott fulfilling a life long dream. He has always wanted to play legos with his kids.

I got some lovely gifts. I got a copy of Sound of Music (yay!!), a copy of World of Warcraft (yippee! But!!! My computer is too old and doesn’t like the game. The final push on my decision to put the Mac to rest and buy a new PC. awwwww. A moment of silence for the Mac, please.), a lovely fairy that lights up from Kimber, and in my stocking from Scott… a seam guage! lol! Apparently the high tech popsicle stick was too advanced. Some funds were added to my pool and will be spent on stash. Of course.

The girls got loads of dolls, clothes, craft supplies, and poor Kimber seemed to open box after box of hats and mittens. I don’t think a single person didn’t give her a new hat and mitten set, and one person succeeded in giving her 15 pairs!!! I don’t think a 6 year old needs that much winter wear, so Goodwill will be getting some brand new hats and mitts from us this week.

Scott got a computer game he was waiting for and a new poker table along with much poker accessories. My mother sent over some of her wonderful zuchinni-raspberry jam which we promptly opened and spread all over our Christmas morning pancakes. Yum!!!

The turkey was delightful and we are enjoying the left overs, I think, more than the orginal meal. We are all turkey lovers and every holiday we think we should stop waiting for a holiday to eat turkey! Family and friends visited, we ate way too much sweets (can such a thing be possible?), and a good time was had by all. We even had lovely warm weather.

That is too funny that Kimber got so many hats and mittens! My 6 year old seems to lose her mittens once a week— we never semm to have enough! lol. My girls kept opening boxes of underwear and socks. πŸ™‚ It sounds like you had a great Christmas!

Sounds like a Merry Christmas was had by all. Congratulations! Can’t wait to see the stash that you pick for yourself and hear about the new PC you end up buying. πŸ™‚

What a wonderful Christmas morning πŸ™‚ You may want to keep several sets of those mittens – they seem to disappear in our house, plus it’s nice to have extras when friends are here!
