Valentines exchange received

Rosa received her valentine’s exchange piece from me. I have to say, this was a very difficult project to give away! I just love how it turned out – very soft and lush.

And a close up of the stitching:

This weekend I got my blackwork finished – yay!

Any suggestions on what to do with this piece? I have no idea how to finish it. It is too big for an ornament, but too small for a pillow. I have a needlebook already.

Thank you to Jenna for the info for Stoney Creek – I did not realize the patterns were the work of one designer. I thought it was collections of multiple designers, much like Leisure Arts is.

And, big thank you to Outi who googled the pattern I had posted – You can download it at here. This is a direct link to the download. There are some interesting patterns on this site (www.fieldanforest.com), and some wonderful freebies.

That’s all for today! Till tomorrow!

I totally understand why it was hard to give the bag away ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m glad I was the fortunate one to receive it! Thank you so much, I’m admiring it right now, it’s so soft and nice.

Congrats on your blackwork finish, I like the idea of a pinkeep for it.

Both pieces are lovely. Not sure what to do with the blackwork, you’ve already stated my two standbys. But the pinkeep idea mentioned doesn’t sound half bad.

That heart is so much fun to stitch it wouldn’t take much to convince yourself to do it again I bet, lol! Lovely project.

No need to thank, it took about 30 seconds to find that link. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’ve no brainstorms for blackwork but it sure does look great! (And as I’ve that in my stash I like to see how it looks when stitched – like it’d be so difficult to deduce from original, but you know these things ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lovely stitching, Christine! I have a soft spot for your blackwork piece. You really have to finish it into something nice, cause it fully deserves it! ๐Ÿ˜‰
How about a lavender/pot pourri sachet?

Christine both of your finishes are lovely. Thanks for sharing the link to the freebie. How about making your blackwork piece into a small quilted wall hanging?

Lucky Rosa! Such a beautiful Valentine exchange project.

Delightful blackwork piece. Maybe a photo book cover? Or, a small pillow? I forget who has a basket full of small pillows (on her blog) but very beautiful display of her talents.
