(My apologies to Tom Hanks, who could probably deliver that line much better than I could any day. He does have an Oscar, after all. I, on the other hand, do not.)
Yes, that’s right, I have my medicinal cup this morning. Thank you to everyone who had a cup for me and left me well wishes – it was fab opening my emails this morning! Last night I had a moment of pain-free-ness, and the oozing has slowed down significantly. Turns out the Dr may know what he is talking about! lol
My wonderful husband went out last night and picked up some coffee grounds for this morning, and for some superkalafragilisticinstantgratification (wonderful word, huh?), he came home with Timmie’s as well. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh coffeeeeeeeee.
I managed to get some stitching in on Lily Maiden last night. I am pretty sure my stitching from last night made up for the last three weeks stitching on this one. My SIL took the girls out for a movie, plus there was no Monty Python to watch, which equals two extra hours of stitching time in. The result?
This has got to be the fastest TW ever. I am just burning through this one (or at least it feels like it.
On to the Stitching Bloggers Question:
Do you stitch “over one?” If so, describe your experiences. If not, have you considered it?
When I first got back into serious stitching, I jumped in headfirst with TW’s Dragon Ride. You can read about my wonderful experience with my first over-one here, and surrounding entries. Note my first spam comment. Yee haw.
Anyhoo – back to over-one. I don’t mind it so much now. It isn’t that it is particularily difficult, it just takes forever to see any progress! Right now I am in the throws of over-one with Woodland Faerie, and I will probably do Lily Maiden’s face over one. I love the detail it offers the piece.
Well the results of the poll (a whopping 43% of you) indicate that you all want me to work on Minuit for the Stitch-A-Thon. I am a little surprised at the results. I thought for sure y’all would be responsible and pick the project that is so close to being done and so boring it is practically a UFO (thanks for being responsible, Renee!), but I am good with something fun! Perhaps I will make some headway on the waves of dress. So, tomorrow she comes out for the whole weekend!
Tonight is our stitching night with our little group, and I actually get to go for the whole two hours (yay, March break!). I should make plenty of progress on the Tribute piece. Cross your fingers!
Enough blithering for today. See what happens when I am away from the juice for a day or two?
