I’m still here – no fear! lol!
Scott has been off for a few days so my access to the computer has been cut down significantly, hence I haven’t been around – thanks for the concern though!
So what do I need to catch up on…
The Stitching Blogger’s Question for the week:
Do you stitch “on the go?” (On the commute to and from work, during your lunch break, waiting for the kids, etc.) If so, do you have a specific “travel” project or do you just grab whatever you happen to be working on and take it with you?
No. I don’t have a whole lot of wait times, and when I have any time that would warrant doing anything, it would be reading, since at home the first thing I grab is my stitching. I have tried stitching in the car, but that just made me sick.
My computer is scheduled to arrive today (yay!), so I should be back in the groove by Monday. I won’t get to enjoy it too much this weekend as I am off to Ottawa for a seminar, then off to our spring camp for the Sparks troop. What a planning adventure this week has been. Scott at first did not get approved for time off on Saturday. I needed him to be home so that he could a) be a caregiver for Lauryn while I’m in Ottawa, and b) get Kimber over to her camp. So, since he wasn’t approved, I had to find a babysitter and a ride, and figure out how I was going to get to Ottawa, since I wasn’t going to be able to be dropped off.
Fortunately (or not – jury’s still out), Scott saw a doctor on Monday who told him he shouldn’t even be in his current work environment with his headaches and wrote him instructions to not go back to work until he has seen a neurologist. After some fandangling with his vacation time to ensure he still got a paycheck, he is now home. So all plans can continue without too much issue. I am even leaving early today – the person I am carpooling with is one of the organizers of the event and has invited me for dessert and coffee with the speaker. Woot!
So when I get home Saturday, I am grabbing my sleeping bag and off to camp! The camp goes on until Sunday morning, when Kimber and I will come home, have lunch, then Kimber goes to a birthday party. Seems this is the weekend where everything happens!
I haven’t been doing a whole lot of stitching – I have been spending a lot of time doing laundry, going over my list of to-do’s for the weekend, and stitching hasn’t been scheduled. I did do a bit of stitching on my tribute piece last night, and the end is very near!! I hope if I can work on it steadily next week, I should be able to start the poem by the weekend.
I think that is all I need to catch up on… remind me if there is something I missed? Have a great weekend, everyone!
