So my sisters are back home, in their own beds, and we are here trying to get back to normal, what ever that is. I go back to work tonight after having nine days off and I am NOT looking forward to it, as you can imagine.
This past week we went all over the place. We showed off fair amounts of St. John, and took the girls up to Hopewell Rocks on Thursday. Thursday was also Scott & my ten year anniversary. An adventure climbing on rocks and driving for hours unsure of where we were going was a great way to celebrate the day. Some pictures of our vacation:
Saskatoons growning near the path at Hopewell.
Some of the “flowerpot rocks” at Hopewell.
The girls having a grand time at Hopewell.
All the ladies at Reversing Falls.
We all had a terrific time.
I did manage to get some stitching done, and the Autumn Seasonal Dragon done on Leslie’s piece.
One word to designers – just because one CAN put a blended Krienik quarter confetti stitch in a piece does not mean one SHOULD.
I am glad this one is finished because I did not enjoy it at all. Kreiniks are hard enough to work with, and I am not the best on linen as it is. Fortunately the backstitching straightened a lot out, but I highly recommend an evenweave if you are going to do this piece.
The dragons will be on their way to Jenna as soon as I get to the post office. Woot!
That is all for today – on to housework!
